Business and Finance Employee Orientation

Welcome to the University of Illinois System!

The Business and Finance Employee Orientation, managed and facilitated by University Outreach, will give you a basic understanding of the information and resources available to help you get started in your role as an employee with business and finance responsibilities at the University of Illinois System. It will give you a sense of the complexity of the operations in the system, the various roles and responsibilities of business and finance employees, and the support offered by the offices within Office of the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Comptroller (CFO) and beyond.

The orientation focuses on:

• Identify the primary functions of the office of the CFO and related units;
• Understand the University of Illinois System’s components and overall reporting structure;
• Discover information about business and finance training and development opportunities (i.e., job aids, certifications, etc.);
• Locate additional business and finance resources on the Business & Finance website; and
• Stay informed with the latest updates and useful reference materials.
